Church Logos - How Religious Logos Impact Society

The oldest, and most well-known, of all logos can be found throughout society. Church logos, which can come in a wide variety of types, are easily identifiable around the world by many different individuals, including those who are not part of that particular religion.

However, when designing a religious logo, it is very important that the conservative nature of the group the logo is for. This is important to remember, because one of the easiest groups to offend with a bad logo, is the religious.

Religious logos and church logos should have very strong colors, usually yellow, red or green. These colors are used a large number of photos from around the world. Typically, however, white, red and green are the appropriate colors to use. They are the right logos to use because they have a message of peace, healing and harmony among believes of the Christian, Muslim Catholic and other faiths.  There are many types of churches and religions to get a sense of the number take a look at the many different ones available in one city for new york churches.

That being said, it is also important that some other religious, Sikh for example, prefer softer colors like light pink or light yellow, which symbolizes simplicity. In the Buddhist religion, using red or yellow is an excellent combination as there are many monks who wear those colors in their robes.

A religious logo should take into consideration the icon of the religion. For Christians, this will be the cross or Jesus, however it is best to simply use the cross. In Judaism, it is best to use the Star of David, which is a well-known symbol to even non-Jews around the world.

When making a Muslim logo, under no circumstances put an image of Mohammed in it as there can be no images of Mohammed allowed in the Muslim religion.

Religious logos, and by extension, church logos, are very important logos, but also very difficult logos to design. This is for the main reason that people take their religion very seriously. If something is done in the logo, which could be construed as offensive, there can be a great deal of problems for the designer of the logo.

However, if done right, it could be something seen by billions of people.
