Pepsi and Coca-Cola use two, or all three, of the main colors of advertising - red, white and/or blue. You can still have free logos that customers will notice by using the ‘three colors of advertising’. In fact, most national and even local companies do it. Find that a bit unbelievable? Then take this test: Next time you travel home look at real estate signs.
With the exception of Century 21 (who uses brown and gold) most real estate companies use some combination of ‘the three colors’. It’s not because realtors have a deep love of red, white and blue. It’s because these colors stand out among the other colors that surround the world.
If you’re picking a logo you need to take color into account. Colors that are vibrant in free logos will always make customers notice you. Softer hues like yellow, for example, blend too easily with the surroundings.
