Any free logos you create should distinguish your company from everyone out there. It needs to be original but, on the other hand, it also needs to follow a few basic requirements. Two of these requirements include:
- Colors
- Fonts
Bold colors are best. That’s not to say you can’t ever use a lighter hue, like yellow, for example. If you do want to use yellow just be sure to use a bold color too. For example, suppose you are a contractor or real estate agent. Your colors need to reflect that business. In this case yellow would be fine as long as a bold color, like green, is present. Not only does it make the yellow stand out, the color green is associated with ‘growing things’. So pick colors that stand out but also reflect what you do.
With fonts be sure to use ones that represents your business. Fancy script fonts work well for a business that’s looking to convey a classy feeling. If you run a tow truck company, however, you might be better with something more of a ‘block’ design because that conveys ‘strength’ and ‘durability’.
So no matter what you choose for your free logos just be sure you consider the following above and you’ll find that getting the right logo will fall naturally into place.
